Jet, a stealthy e-commerce startup, has raised $55 million in an initial round of funding led by New Enterprise Associates with participation from Accel Partners, Bain Capital Ventures and MentorTech Ventures. Jet is led by former Quidsi CEO Mark Lore and is rumored to be a tech-focused e-commerce company. Based in Hoboken, N.J., Jet is currently a team of 30 and is expected to launch in 2015.

ThredUP, an online consignment store based in San Francisco, has raised $23 million in a Series D round expected to reach $25 million from Highland Capital Partners, Redpoint Ventures, Trinity Ventures, and a handful of individual investors. ThredUP sells and buys like-new women's and children's clothing, offering customers up to 90% off retail prices. Founded in 2009, ThredUP has raised $46 million in total funding to date.

JuiceBox Games, a new gaming studio based in San Francisco, has raised $2.5 million in seed funding led by Initial Capital with participation from General Catalyst, Index Ventures, and Maveron, along with angels Scott Dale and John Riccitiello. Founded by a trio of former Zynga employees, JuiceBox is making free-to-play mobile games for iOS, Android and Kindle mobile devices and will use the new funding to localize its games for expansion into European and Asian markets.
