Urban Compass, a real-estate platform based in New York, has raised a $40 million Series B round from investors Thrive Capital, Founders Fund, .406 Ventures, Advance Publications, Kenneth Chenault and Marc Benioff. Urban Compass helps New Yorkers buy and rent apartments, working with local real-estate agents to help schedule viewings. Founded in 2012, Urban Compass has raised over $70 million to date and will use the latest cash to double its staff of 100 by the end of the year.

Threadflip, a women's fashion marketplace, has raised $13 million in a Series B round led by Norwest Venture Partners with participation from previous investors Baseline Ventures, First Round Capital, and Shasta Ventures. Threadflip provides a platform for women to buy and sell fashion items, offering a concierge service that will prepare, list, and ship items for users looking to sell clothing. Founded in 2012 and based in San Francisco, Threadflip has raised $21 million to date and will use the latest funding to scale the business.

ParkWhiz, an online parking marketplace based in Chicago, has raised $10 million in a Series B round led by Jump Capital with participation from previous investors Hyde Park Venture Partners, Alexis Ohanian, Amreesh Modi, Henry Feinberg and Hyde Park Angels. ParkWhiz connects parking garage owners with drivers looking to reserve parking spots, and is currently operation in 125 cities including Chicago, New York, and Washington DC. Founded in 2007, ParkWhiz has raised $12 million to date and plans to triple its team of 25 over the next two years.
