Olacabs, an Bangalore-based car rental service, has raised $41.5 million in Series C funding led by Steadview Capital and Sequoia Capital with participation from existing investors Matrix Parters India and Tiger Global. Olacabs provides quick and efficient point-to-point transport with 11,000 cabs across 9 cities in India. Founded in 2011, Olacabs has raised over $65 million in funding to date and will use the latest cash to expand into new cities and categories.

Malwarebytes, a San Jose-based anti-malware technology provider, has raised $30 million in a first round of funding entirely from Highland Capital Partners. Malwarebytes has developed a behavior-based detection engine for computer threats and currently protects the computers and mobile devices of over 200 million clients. Founded in 2008 and bootstrapped prior to this round, Malwarebytes will use the new cash to sustain its rapid growth rate and begin to acquire smaller players in the security software space.

Avere Systems, an enterprise data storage startup based in Pittsburgh, PA, has raised a Series D round of $20 million led by Western Digital Capital with participation from previous investors Lightspeed Venture Partners, Menlo Ventures, Norwest Venture Partners and Tenaya Capital. Avere has created a hybrid cloud data storage solution that allows enterprises to store files anywhere in the cloud without sacrificing data performance, availability, or security. Founded in 2008, Avere has raised $72 million to date and will use the latest funding to expand sales and marketing efforts.
