ZipRecruiter, a job posting platform based in Santa Monica, has raised $63 million in a Series A round led by Institutional Venture Partners with participation from Industry Ventures and new LA-based VC Basepoint Ventures. ZipRecruiter provides a platform for small and medium businesses to post job openings and connect with potential employees. Founded in 2010, ZipRecruiter is already profitable and hasn't taken in any external money prior to this round, which it plans to put toward building new products and potentially expanding outside of the U.S.

Hike, a mobile messaging app based in India, has raised $65 million in new funding from Tiger Global with participation from BSB, a joint-venture between Bharti Enterprises and SoftBank Corp. Hike is the largest India-based mobile app, providing instant messaging services to some 35 million users. Founded in 2012, Hike has raised over $85 million to date and will use the latest cash to back product development and marketing efforts, as well as build out its current team of 100.

Datanyze, a sales prospecting startup based in San Mateo, has raised $2 million in seed funding from a list of investors including IDG Ventures, Google Ventures, and Mark Cuban. Datanyze provides salespeople and marketers with insights into what technologies are being used on company websites, and aims to become the primary lead generation solution for technology providers. Founded in 2012, Datanyze has been growing at a rate of 25% per month for the entire year and will use the new funding to back product development and expansion.
