Quantopian, an algorithmic stock trading platform with headquarters in Boston, has raised $15 million in a Series B round led by Bessemer Venture Partners with participation from previous investors Spark Capital, Khosla Ventures and Wicklow Capital. Quantopian has created an open online network for developers of quantitative trading algorithms to connect to brokerage accounts for live trading. Founded in 2011, Quantopian has raised $24 million to date and will use the latest cash to build out its product and work on expansion into international markets.

Idibon, a natural language processing startup based in San Francisco, has raised $5.5 million in a Series A round led by Altpoint Ventures, Khosla Ventures and Morningside Ventures, with participation from Samsung and Inventec. Idibon helps companies make sense of unstructured language data, analyzing social media, email and website data to predict future purchasing trends or measure campaign effectiveness. Launched in January, Idibon will use the new funding to back hiring and global expansion.

PaintZen, an on-demand house painting startup based in New York, has raised $1.8 million in seed funding from Lerer Hippeau Ventures, NextView Ventures, Quotidian Ventures, Angelpad and Shark Tank's Barbara Corcoran. PaintZen provides a platform for users to book, schedule and pay for home and office painters. Launching today in New York and San Francisco, PaintZen has already painted over 4,000 rooms for homeowners and corporate offices while in beta.
