Truecaller, a mobile phone directory app based in Stockholm, has raised a $60 million Series C round led by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and Sequoia with participation from Atomico and other previous investors. Truecaller allows its over 85 million users to identify incoming calls and search for phone numbers in an online phone directory. Founded in 2009, Truecaller has raised $80 million to date and will use the latest cash to build its global user base.

Peel, a smart remote software maker with headquarters in Mountain View, has raised $50 million in a strategic investment from e-commerce giant Alibaba. Peel's Android and iOS app offers program discovery, seamless remote control, and engaging social interactions to enhance the TV experience. Founded in 2009, Peel currently sees 90 million users and will use the new funding to expand its product lineup and improve its custom content recommendation platform.

PillPack, an online pharmacy startup based in Cambridge, MA, has raised $8.75 million in Series A funding led by Accel Partners with participation from Atlas Venture, High Line Venture Partners, Queensbridge Venture Partners, Andy Palmer and David Tisch. PillPack coordinates with doctors and insurance providers to deliver users the right medications at the right time, with 24-hour customer service for patients. Launched in February, PillPack is currently available in 40 U.S. states and plans to use the latest cash to spread awareness about its service and build out operations and distribution.
