Hootsuite, a social media management startup headquartered in Vancouver, BC, has raised $60 million in a Series D round rumored to be led by Boston-based asset manager Fidelity with confirmed participation from existing investors Accel Partners, Insight Venture Partners, OMERS Ventures, and Silicon Valley Bank. Hootsuite provides a platform for over 10 million enterprise and individual users to monitor and manage social media interactions across a variety of social networks. Founded in 2008, Hootsuite has raised $285 million to date and will use the latest cash to back international expansion, new product innovation, and additional acquisitions.

FiveStars, a customer loyalty startup based in San Francisco, has raised a $26 million Series B round led by Menlo Ventures with participation from previous investors Lightspeed Venture Partners, DCM, and Rogers Communications. FiveStars creates customer loyalty programs for small and medium sized businesses, using predictive analytics and cloud-based marketing automation to reach customers at the right time. A 2011 Y Combinator grad, FiveStars has raised $45 million to date and will use the new money to expand its team and add new products to its platform.

E la Carte, a smart dining startup based in Palo Alto, has raised $35 million in a Series C round led by existing investors Intel Capital and Romulus Capital with participation from TriplePoint Capital and Sam Altman. E la Carte develops tablets for restaurants that customers can use to browse the menu, place orders, and pay the bill. Founded in 2008, E la Carte has partnered with national restaurant chains such as Applebee's and will use the latest financing to back sales and marketing efforts as well as product development.
