Nubank, a financial services startup based in Sao Paulo, has raised $14.3 million in a Series A round led by Sequoia with participation from Kaszek Ventures. Nubank is launching a MasterCard Platinum credit card that users can manage through an Android or iOS app to avoid fees and pay lower interest rates. Founded in 2013 by former Sequoia parter David Velez, Nubank has secured Sequoia's first investment in a Brazilian company.

Context Relevant, a big data analytics company based in Seattle, has raised $13.5 million in Series B funding from Goldman Sachs, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Formation 8, New York Life and Bloomberg Beta. Context Relevant provides data science tools for the financial services industry, helping financial institutions recommend products to clients and also detect security threats. Founded in 2012, Context Relevant has raised $42 million to date and will use the latest cash to build out its security product offering and hire additional staff.

Sendwithus, an email marketing startup based in San Francisco, has raised $2.3 million in a seed funding led by Steve Anderson of Baseline Ventures with participation from SV Angel, Maiden Lane, Garry Tan, Alexis Ohanian, Paul Buchheit, Kevin Hale, Scott Banister, and others. Sendwithus has created a content management platform to provide online marketers with control and insight into transactional emails. A recent Y Combinator grad, Sendwithus has raised $2.6 million to date and has seen 30 percent monthly revenue growth for the past eight months.
