Delivery Hero, an online food ordering network headquartered in Berlin, has raised $350 million in new financing led by existing investors Insight Venture Partners and Kite Ventures with participation from new investor Vostok Nafta. Delivery Hero's platform covers 75,000 restaurants across 23 countries and five continents, and is generating over $1 billion in annual sales. Launched in 2010, Delivery Hero has raised over $650 million to date and will use the most recent funding to continue its rapid growth rate and invest in existing markets.

Vice Media, a media group and online network based in Brooklyn, has closed a $250 million investment from Technology Crossover Ventures following another $250 strategic investment late last month from A&E Networks. Vice provides domestic and international news coverage, pop and underground culture coverage, music, and technology updates and targets a youth demographic. Founded in 2006 with operations in 36 countries, Vice plans to use the latest cash to beef up technological capabilities and content production.

xAd, a mobile ad startup based in New York, has raised $50 million in a combination of debt and equity financing led by Institutional Venture Partners with participation from existing investors Emergence Capital, Softbank Capital, and Silicon Valley Bank. xAd uses mobile location data to deliver ads and media specific to user location, currently operating in the U.S., Germany, the UK, Canada and India. Founded in 2009, xAd is already profitable and will use the latest funding to go live in China and France and consider possible acquisitions.
