IEX, a stock-trading startup based in New York, has raised $75 million in a Series C round led by Spark Capital with participation from Bain Capital Ventures, MassMutual Ventures, and investment manager Franklin Resources. IEX provides an alternative trading system for mutual fund managers similar to a stock exchange but with less regulatory burdens and unable to offer corporate listings. Opened last year, IEX has raised just over $100 million to date and will use the new funding to become a registered U.S. stock exchange and explore new opportunities.

FanDuel, a fantasy sports startup based in New York, has raised $70 million in a Series D funding led by Shamrock Capital Advisors with participation from NBC Sports Ventures, KKR, and existing investors. FanDuel offers fantasy sports and daily games for NFL, MLB, NBA, and NHL. Founded in 2009, FanDuel has raised nearly $90 million to date and will use the latest funding to expand its existing staff of 80 and support weekly contest payouts of $10 million.

Black Duck Software, a provider of open-source software management solutions based in Boston, has raised $20 million in a Series F round led by General Catalyst with participation from previous backers Flagship Ventures, Volition Capital, Red Hat, SAP, and Intel. Black Duck offers software tools and consulting to help its over 1,400 enterprise customers leverage open-source projects for their own apps. Founded in 2002, Black Duck has raised $66 million to date and will use the new cash to fund expansion of the business and customer base.
