Scytl, an online voting company based in Barcelona, has raised another $44 million from new investors Vy Capital, Adams Street Partners, and Industry Ventures to close out a funding round of $104 million total opened in April of this year. Scytl aims to modernize the voting process by providing voter registration services, voting services, and election night reporting through a secure platform. Founded in 2001, Scytl currently works with governments and organizations in 35 countries and will use the new cash to continue expansion.

8 Securities, a financial management startup based in Hong Kong, has raised $9 million in Series B funding from return backers Velocity Capital and Leitmotiv Private Equity. 8 Securities offers a stock trading and financial management platform as a low-cost alternative to traditional financial advisors or asset management firms. A TechCrunch Disrupt Beijing 2011 finalist, 8 Securities currently manages over $750 million in customer assets and plans to use the latest funding raised to advertise new products and expand into mainland China this year.

Haha Pinche, a Chinese carpooling app, has raised $10 million in a Series A round led by Sequoia Capital with participation from Innovation Works. Haha Pinche lets users schedule rides and make payments to validated drivers via mobile app, and is backed by a national insurance company. Launched in January of this year, Haha Pinche will use the new funding to continue building out technology and recruiting more users.
