Kabam, a mobile gaming company based in San Francisco, has raised $120 million in a strategic investment made by Alibaba. The deal values Kabam, a developer of free-to-play core games for mobile devices with users in more than 150 countries, at over $1 billion. Founded in 2006, Kabam will launch 10 games through Alibaba in the next three years and plans to use the new cash to fund acquisitions in Asia, further content diversification and geographic expansion.

1006.tv, a Chinese mobile game media company, has raised $10 million in a Series B round led by Sequoia Capital with participation from ClearVue Partners. 1006.tv is a media evaluation service for mobile games, providing rankings, news and reviews of mobile game-related products. Founded in 2009, 1006.tv currently has 36 million registered users and around 1.7 daily active users.

Resy, a mobile app for restaurant reservations, has raised $2 million in a seed round led by Vayner/RSE and Lerer Ventures with participation from Panarea Capital, A-Grade Holdings, Slow Ventures, and Ken Austin. Resy lets users pay an extra fee to book a reservation at a selected time and restaurant to avoid waiting in line for a table. Resy is launching in New York at an initial batch of 20 restaurants and will use the new funding to back expansion and continued product development.
