Conservis, a software solutions provider for the farming industry, has raised $10 million in a Series A round led by Cultivan Sandbox Ventures with participation from Middleland Capital and Heartland Farms. Conservis provides cloud-based farm management software that applies data acquisition and data management techniques to the farming industry. Founded in 2009, Conservis serves farms in 26 U.S. states along with Canada, Australia, and Russia, and will use the new funds to back technological development and geographical expansion.

Teleport, a search engine for nomadic workers, has raised $2.5 million in seed funding from Andreessen Horowitz, SV Angel, Seedcamp, and angel investors including Scott and Cyan Banister and Rain Rannu. Teleport aims to simplify the relocation process for remote workers by providing a location search platform that accounts for housing, taxes, visas, and lifestyle preferences. Founded earlier this year and based in Palo Alto, Teleport has launched a Bay Area version of its tool and will use the new cash to expand its scope.

Cord Project, a voice communication startup based in Brooklyn, NY, has raised $1.8 million in seed funding from Metamorphic Ventures and Lerer Hippeau Ventures with participation from Google Ventures, Greycroft, Carmelo Anthony's Melo7 Tech Partners, and angel investors including Dave Morin and Stuart Goldfarb. Cord Project is building a messaging app that allows users to send voice messages up to 12 seconds each as an alternative to text messaging. Founded in April 2014, Cord Project has launched an iOS app and is planning to release and Android version later this year.
