PrecisionHawk, an aerial data analytics company based in Indiana, has raised $10 million in a Series B round led by Millennium Technology Value Partners with participation from Red Hat co-founder Bob Young and Innovate Indiana Fund. PrecisionHawk uses small, lightweight UAVs to collect, process and analyze aerial data for a variety of industries from agriculture to government. Founded in 2011, PrecisionHawk has will invest the new funding in product development and build out its engineering team.

SchoolMint, a school admissions management startup based in San Francisco, has raised $2.2 million in seed funding led by NewSchools Venture Fund, Runa Capital, and Crosslink Capital with participation from Kapor Capital, Imagine K12, Romulus Capital, Fresco Capital, and angels Jared Kopf and Tim Ranzetta. SchoolMint helps schools and parents manage the student application and enrollment process in K-12 schools through a browser-based and mobile platform. Founded in 2013, SchoolMint is currently used in over 500 private and public schools across 10 states and will use the latest funding to build out analytics features around application trends for schools.

DroneDeploy, a smart drone management startup headquartered in San Francisco, has raised $2 million in seed funding from SoftTech VC, Data Collective, Redpoint Ventures, Draper Fisher Jurvetson and AngelPad. DroneDeploy provides a smart drone management platform to help users fly small drones and analyze captured images. A Spring 2013 graduate of the AngelPad accelerator, DroneDeploy will use the new cash to build out additional applications and expand its customer base.
