San Francisco-based interactive guidance platform WalkMe has raised $11 million in funding led by Scale Venture Partners with participation from existing investors Mangrove Capital Partners, Giza Venture Capital, and Gemini Israel Ventures. WalkMe lets website owners and app developers create interactive walk-throughs and provide their users with visual cues to simplify website navigation. Founded in 2012, WalkMe has raised $17.5 million to date and will use the new funding to expand its business and build out its enterprise consumer base.
Mountain View-based cloud service security startup Sookasa has raised a $5 million Series A round led by Accel Partners with participation from existing investors First Round Capital, SV Angel, and other angel investors. Sookasa helps companies using cloud services like Dropbox or Gmail by encrypting sensitive data and protecting content while preserving user experience. Founded in 2012, Sookasa has just launched its first product and will use the new cash to work on adding protection to email attachments and files.
New York-based financial app technology startup OpenFin has raised $4 million in a Series A round led by Bain Capital Ventures. OpenFin provides secure runtime technology for financial desktops to improve trading and real-time data applications for global financial firms. Founded in 2010, OpenFin has raised $7 million to date and will put the new funds toward product development and engineering team expansion.
