San Francisco-based mobile workforce startup Gigwalk has raised $10 million in Series B funding from Nokia Growth Partners and existing investors August Capital, Harrison Metal, and SoftTech VC. Gigwalk, previously a mobile workforce employment platform, has pivoted its mobile app to focus on providing consumer packaged goods companies with a way to track campaigns and shelves for product placement in stores. Founded in 2011, Gigwalk has raised over $17 million to date and will use the latest funds to build out its new software.

San Jose-based LEGO rental service Pley has raised $6.8 million in new funding from Allegro Venture Partners, Floodgate, Correlation Ventures, Maven Ventures and Western Technology Investments. Pley is a subscription service for educational toys with monthly LEGO rental deliveries starting at $15 a month. Launched in June of last year, Pley has already shipped hundreds of different LEGO sets to over 15,000 families and will use the new funding to expand its product offering.

New York-based brand advocacy startup Crowdtap has raised $5 million in Series B funding led by Foundry Group with participation from Tribeca Venture Partners, Alta Communications, and The Mustang Group. Crowdtap connects brands with consumers to create promotional social media content and counts Verizon, AT&T, and Sony among the brands using its platform. Founded in 2009, Crowdtap has raised $15 million in funding to date.
