London-based artificial intelligence startup Adbrain has raised $7.5 million in a Series A funding led by Octupus Investments with participation from Notion Capital. Adbrain provides advertisers with the tools to track and analyze user data and target audiences with new marketing campaigns accordingly. Launched in June of 2013, Adbrain has raised a total of $9 million in funding to date.

Israeli image identification technology company Cortica has raised $20 million in Series C funding from Mail.ru, Horizons Ventures, and Ynon Kreiz. Cortica has developed technology that identifies and recognizes images of objects and humans, primarily used by advertising networks to provide relevant content to users. Founded in 2007, Cortica has raised $38 million to date and will use the latest investment to fund expansion into new markets.

Singapore-based online beauty store Luxola has raised $10 million in a Series B round led by Japanese corporate investor Transcosmos with participation from existing backer GREE Ventures. Southeast Asia's largest online beauty store, Luxola offers men and women's beauty and skincare products from over 100 brands. Launched in September 2012, Luxola plans to put the new funds toward improving its web and mobile platforms as well as expanding its product offering and operational capacity.
