San Francisco-based blogging platform Medium has raised $25 million in a round led by Greylock Partners with participation from Google Ventures and a variety of angels including Chris Sacca, Ron Conway, and Peter Chernin. Known for its clean design and open platform, Medium will put the funds toward expanding content strategy and strengthening its technology. Medium was co-founded in 2012 by former Twitter CEO Evan Williams and has not previously accepted capital from any outside venture firms.

Massachusetts-based cloud data security startup CloudLock has raised a $16.5 million Series C round led by Bessemer Venture Partners with participation from previous investors Cedar Fund and Ascent Venture Partners. CloudLock currently helps over 600 enterprise customers secure data on Google Apps and Salesforce.com but will use the new funds to expand beyond these two platforms. Founded in 2007, CloudLock has raised $28.2 million in funding to date.

Chicago-based travel rewards startup Rocketmiles has raised $6.5 million in a Series A round led by August Capital with participation from past investors Peterson Ventures, Link Ventures, and Atlas Venture, as well as new investors Chicago Ventures and Match.com CEO Sam Yagan. Rocketmiles helps frequent fliers earn additional miles by booking hotel stays through its site, offering an average of 7,000 miles per hotel booking. Founded in 2012, Rocketmiles has raised $8.5 million total and will put the latest funds toward customer acquisition and international expansion.
