Redwood City-based mobile payments startup Flint has raised $6 million in Series B funding led by Digicel Group with participation from SVG Partners, Storm Ventures, and True Ventures. Flint launched in May 2012 to bring another perspective to the mobile payments industry, with no hardware requirements and lower transaction fees than competitors like Square. Founded in 2011, Flint has raised $9 million in funding to date.
