Mobile finance app developer Check, based in Palo Alto, has raised a $24 million series C round led by Menlo Ventures with participation from existing investors Morganthaler Ventures and Pitango Venture Capital. This brings Check's total funding to $49 million since the company's launch in 2008.

London-based producer of best-selling Android keyboard apps SwiftKey has raised $17.5 million in series B funding to expand its product portfolio to the U.S. The round was led by Index Ventures alongside previous investors Octopus Ventures and a number of angels including Nick Hynes, Carl Uminski, and Jon Craton.

San Francisco-based software provider Lithium Technologies has raised $50 million from a group of unnamed investors in pre-IPO mezzanine financing. The funding will be used to further develop its technology platform and expand its sales and marketing. The company has raised a total of $142 million in funding to date.
