Sao Paulo-based, taxi app developer Easy Taxi raised a $10 million round from Africa Internet Holding, Millicom, and Rocket Internet. With this round, Easy Taxi plans to expand into Africa and continue its growth in Asia and the Middle East. Easy Taxi reported 1.5 million downloads with 45,000 taxi drivers in their network. Founded in 2011, Easy Taxi has raised $25 million.

Mountain View-based, business messaging and communications startup Hall raised a $5.5 million series A round from Felicis Ventures, Signia Venture Partners, Eric Hahn, and Pivot North Capital. Hall reported 20,000 businesses and 100,000 users since launching the app in February. Founded in 2011, Hall has raised $6.4 million.

San Francisco-based, real-time collaboration platform LiveMinutes raised a $1.4 million seed round led by Great Oak Venture Capital, with participation from New World Ventures, Alison Rosenthal, and Sam Yagan. LiveMinutes has also announced a partnership with Evernote Business.
