NEA seeks $3B for latest VC fund
Venture capital firm New Enterprise Associates (NEA) is seeking to raise $3 billion for its 16th fund, according to a securities filing. If it hits the target, the fund would be one of the largest ever for a VC firm. The filing follows a string of large rounds led by NEA, as well as a major exit with ecommerce portfolio company Jet.com selling to Walmart last year for $3 billion.
InsideSales, a provider of predictive analytics technology to help salespeople generate and cultivate prospects, raised $50 million in a new round led by Polaris Capital and joined by a long list of new and existing investors. The Provo, Utah-based company has raised more than $250 million to date.
