Symantec buys LifeLock for $2.3 billion
Cybersecurity heavyweight Symantec announced over the weekend that it will acquire LifeLock, the provider of identity theft protection services, for $2.3 billion. Next, Symantec plans to combine its Norton digital security offering with Lifelock’s ID protection to create a single product.
Now they can get back to hyperlooping. Hyperloop One, the developer of high-speed transit technology, said it has settled a high profile lawsuit brought by co-founder and former CTO Brogan BamBrogan and several employees. Terms were not disclosed.
Oracle acquiring Dyn
Oracle has signed an agreement to acquire Dyn, the internet performance and DNS provider, in a transaction reportedly valued around $600 million. New Hampshire-based Dyn is a little-known but widely used service provider that was recently in the spotlight after a massive DDoS attack in October.
