Crunchbase rolls out TechCrunch Disrupt lists
It’s a wrap! The winner of TechCrunch Disrupt SF 2016 is Mobalytics, a personal analytics performance tool for gamers. Post-conference, Crunchbase has compiled all the TechCrunch Disrupt lists to follow up and keep track of all the companies. You can see the Battlefield companies here. Sapphire Ventures closes on $1B
Sapphire Ventures, the VC firm spun out of SAP, has closed on $1 billion in new capital commitments. The Silicon Valley-based firm invests in expansion-stage tech startups, as well as early-stage venture capital funds. The new funding brings Sapphire’s total assets under management to more than $2.4 billion.
Google’s Maris said to be raising VC fund
Bill Maris, the founder and former head of Google Ventures (now GV), is raising money for his own venture capital fund, according to a CNBC report citing unnamed sources. Maris, who left GV in August, is said to be considering a raise of between $350 million and $500 million.
