Remember Chamillionaire? He's no longer ridin' dirty, that's for sure. Mark Suster announced yesterday that the Grammy-winning rap artist is the newest EIR at Upfront Ventures. We predict a guest post on TechCrunch and a name change to "Chabillionaire" in his near future. A fellow data geek over at Zillabyte impressed us with this time-lapse map of venture funding in San Francisco, powered by the CrunchBase API. Zillabyte's map bears an uncanny resemblance to a map of San Francisco's housing prices we caught on Medium this weekend. The median price for a one bedroom rental in SOMA, the heart of SF's tech scene, comes out to a lofty $3400/month. Yikes. Tired of hearing about Silicon Valley? Accelerators from Lincoln, Nebraska, and Ramallah, Palestine are two of the latest to join the CrunchBase Venture Program.
