Santa Clara-based file-sharing service Hightail, formerly YouSendIt, has raised $34 million in Series E funding led by hard drive maker Western Digital with participation from Alloy Ventures, Emergence Capital Partners, Adams Street Partners, and others. Hightail plans to use the new capital to expand its reach in the enterprise market and to fund international growth. Founded in 2004, Hightail has raised over $80 million in funding to date.

Palo Alto-based online affiliate network Yub has launched today with $12 million in funding from Atomico, Battery Ventures, DAG Ventures, DFJ Growth, Greylock Partners, Index Ventures, T. Rowe Price, QuestMark Partners, and Visa. Yub enables retailers and restaurants to track consumers from online clicks through to actual purchases, harnessing digital marketing to drive in-store shopping. Released today, Yub's platform is already being used by a handful of leading U.S. restaurant chains and retail brands.

New York-based local marketing software Signpost has raised $10 million in a Series B round led by OpenView Venture Partners with participation from Spark Capital, Scout Ventures, and wikiHow founder Jack Herrick. Signpost offers an online marketing platform for small businesses to automate everything from directory and social profile management to customer acquisition and retention. Founded in 2009 and backed by Google Ventures, Signpost now has more that 10,000 customers and has tripled its team in the past year.
