Waterloo, Ontario-based travel marketplace startup Demeure raised a $4 million seed round from 50 private Canadian investors. The subscription-based service, which launched last week, reported 1,000 users and aims to reach 25,000 by the end of the year.

Collaborative video coworking startup Sqwiggle raised a $1.1 million seed round from Atlas Ventures, Ludlow Ventures, Promus Ventures, and AngelList’s Syndicate feature.
