Amobee, the digital advertising company owned by mobile provider Singtel, announced that it will acquire Turn, an online platform for marketers, in a deal valued at $310 million. Silicon Valley-based Turn previously raised more than $160 million in venture funding.
K2 Global raises $183M VC fund
K2 Global, a venture capital firm based in Silicon Valley and Singapore, has raised $183 million for a fund focused on Internet and software startups. The two-year-old firm specializes in U.S. tech companies looking to break into Asia, along with Asian startups eyeing global expansion.
AirMap lands $26M for drone mapping
Santa Monica, Calif.-based AirMap, a provider of software and systems for managing drone air traffic, announced that it closed a $26 million Series B round backed by new investors Microsoft Ventures, Airbus Ventures, Qualcomm Ventures, Rakuten, Sony, and Yuneec. Existing investors General Catalyst and Lux Capital also participated in the round.
