Smart glass maker View raises $100M
View, a developer of dynamic glass for buildings, has raised $100 million in new funding, with half coming from TIAA Investments. Milpitas, Calif.-based View’s glass tints automatically in response to outdoor conditions or can be adjusted using a mobile device.
Electrolux buys cookware startup Anova
Anova, maker of a home gadget for sous vide cooking, is being acquired by appliance company Electrolux for $115 million up front and up to $135 million in milestone payments. San Francisco-based Anova started out with a campaign on Kickstarter three years ago, where it raised $1.8 million.
