J&J to acquire Actelion for $30B
It’s a big day for pharmaceutical mergers. Johnson & Johnson said it agreed to acquire publicly traded Swiss biopharmaceutical developer Actelion in a $30 billion all-cash deal. As part of the deal, Actelion’s R&D unit will spin out into a new standalone company.
France’s Vestiaire Collective raises $62M
Vestiaire Collective, a Paris-based online marketplace for selling pre-owned luxury and high-end fashion products, has raised $62 million in a funding round led by Vitruvian Partners, with participation from from existing investors Eurazeo and Idinvest, TechCrunch reports.
Reflektive closes on $25M for employee reviews
Reflektive, provider of a performance feedback platform for employees, has raised $25 million in a Series B round led by Lightspeed Venture Partners. The San Francisco-based company, founded in 2014, has raised $42 million to date.
Kik acquires app maker Rounds
Messaging company Kik has acquired Rounds, an Israel-based app developer best known for video chat. As part of the deal, Rounds said it will shut down its applications in a week and over time migrate components to Kik’s platform of over 300 million users.
