CES spotlights news gadgets galore
The Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas kicked off with a mind-boggling array of gadgets from startup and big technology companies alike. Highlights include tricked-out laptops, new programmable legos, and a bunch of offerings for the smart home. Grooming also got a techie boost, with a smart hairbrush and high-tech toothbrush on display.
China’s Mobike raises $215M
China-based bike sharing service Mobike has raised $215 million in a Series D round led by Tencent. Two-year-old Mobike started out offering its service in Shanghai and today operates in nine cities across China.
Faraday Future unveils first electric car
Startup electric carmaker Faraday Future revealed its first production vehicle, FF 91. Production is slated to begin in 2018 for the car, which has a 378 mile driving range, goes from 0 to 60 mph in 2.4 seconds, and is able to park itself.
