Symphony raising up to $200M for secure messaging
Symphony, a secure messaging service backed and used by many of the biggest banks on Wall Street, is raising up to $200 million in a new round with a pre-money valuation over $1 billion, TechCrunch reports. The Silicon Valley-based company will likely raise the money from existing investors and a new backer, the government of Singapore.
Google spins out self-driving car unit Waymo
Google’s self-driving car division now has a bit more autonomy in its corporate structure too. On Tuesday, Google announced that it is spinning out Waymo, its autonomous driving division, as its own entity under the Alphabet umbrella.
Conversica, the Silicon Valley-based developer of an AI platform for identifying and cultivating sales leads, raised $34 million in a Series B round led by Providence Strategic Growth Capital Partners.
