Fisker mounts a comeback with $130k Revero
Three years after a bankruptcy filing, luxury electric carmaker Fisker Automotive (now Karma Automotive) is back with a new model, the Karma Revero. The sleek sedan has a 50 mile pure-electric driving range before the internal combustion engine engages. Initial price for the car, which does not yet have a ship date, is around $130,000.
Coupa Software files for IPO in latest unicorn offering
Coupa Software, which provides tools for enterprises to manage how employees spend money, filed to raise up to $75 million in an initial public offering. The Silicon Valley-based unicorn has previously raised about $170 million in venture funding.
Seed round sizes increase for U.S. startups
The average size of a U.S. seed round rose in the first half of the year, as startups and their backers looked to shore up a longer runway before seeking Series A funding, according to a CrunchBase analysis. Overall, the average seed round size in the first half of this year was $1.14 million, up from $947,000 in the same period last year.
